My New Studio {I hope!}

Happy Sunday, everyone!

This is my idea for my new studio. If you remember, Wade is letting me convert half of the guest room into a studio (I'm still trying to sneak the other side of the room without him noticing!).

This layout requires a trip to Target, one to IKEA and about 300 bucks. We just have to move the piano out of the room and I can start working on it!!! So exciting!

It's Friday Already???

Talk about doing NOTHING all week! I had all these mini goals at the beginning of the week, but haven't accomplished ANY of them! Here's what I did manage to get done:

1. Went to Jeanna's again on Wednesday. I just LOVE being with her. She's so fun! And considering that she isn't a SCRAPBOOKER, that is saying a lot!

2. I finally opened up a savings account at the local credit union. I'm going to be making some serious money now with the added interest... 7 dollars a month! Woo hoo!

3. Played poker on Tuesday night but I lost. I did however finally learn how to shuffle chips. It's embarrassingly easy and I can't believe it has taken me this long to figure it out (it's all in the finger position!)

4. Made this photo at THIS WEBSITE. I'm addicted now.

4. I uploaded some of my layouts on SIS. That website is a major self-esteem booster. Minutes after I uploaded I was flooded with awesome comments from other SISters! It's such a great feeling! (I highly recommend it if you are a narcissist like me!)

Now for some scrapping....

My New Super Jacket

Even though it's far too hot to wear it for longer than 2 minutes, I love it! It's double breasted and the bottom is a full skirt! And best of all, it's cotton, so I can wash it at home! WEEEE!!!

Babies, Piggies and Peacocks

Hello!!!

I haven't posted in a couple of days because I have been SICK SICK SICK for the last three days. There is nothing worse than waking up with a migraine - you know your whole day is already set in stone! But now I feel much better (stomach is still acting funny) so I can go back to my daily entries!!! (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE having the summer off of work?!?)

So, last Thursday I spent the day with my best friend Jeanna and her two lovely kids. Here's me and the newest addition to their family. Kira is SO adorable. So calm and sweet and so warm!!! I love having her sleep on my chest!

On Wednesday Wade and I went to the OC fair for some much needed barbecue chicken fajitas and funnel cake! Wade loves the piggies so I took tons of pics for him!

Yesterday we spent the day with some friends who live in LA. There is a neighborhood by a bird arboretum that is forever occupied by peacocks who should be at the sanctuary. The peacocks just walk around in people's front lawns looking for yummies to eat and lady friends to mate with! They are GORGEOUS, but really loud and obnoxious. There was an old asian lady walking the street picking up tail feathers (or perhaps plucking them?) SO weird to see such elegant birds in residential areas!!!

We finally got some printer ink tonight so tomorrow I plan on doing a ton of layouts! I'll post them when they're done! Have a lovely week!

Two For Tuesday

I had a WONDERFUL breakfast with Chris this morning... strawberry waffles. So Good!

Then drove to the Scrapbook Oasis for some much needed patterned paper. We drove around Skypark for a good 15 minutes until Chris had the brilliant idea to ask the mail lady where the store was. There are about 20 streets named Skypark in that area. We're two Asian females driving in an unfamiliar area, so it was inevitable that we would get lost.

Oh Well...

I slept in until 10 today... so nice to be on vacation from work!!! Ran some errands today and encountered TONS of crappy drivers... an old man yelled at me because HE was driving on the wrong side of the road in the parking lot. Crazy old man.

My layout didn't get chosen for Maria Grace's User Inspiration this month... Hopefully she'll remember me for next month. It's given me some motivation to scrap though, so that's good!

Finally got my camera back today. The service guy told me that the "cost of the repair would exceed the value of the camera." Translation: you're out the 600 bucks you paid for this camera, so tough nookies.

Here's some layouts I did today. Got to use my new embellies I made this weekend. Had some fun with felt+embroidery floss. to make the birdies.

This top one is a lot of firsts for me: First time using white cardstock, first time using cardboard, and first time using handmade embellies.

Today was my last day volunteering at the College until September. Hopefully that means I will have TONS of time to scrapbook. Really tired today (had to wake up way too early because of finals).

Got a couple of pages done yesterday and today.

Got an e mail from Maria Grace Abuzman. She's a "Garden Girl" at 2peas and wants to use one of my layouts for the User Inspiration section. I'm really excited because that means she is going to lift my layout! No one has ever done that before! Woo hoo!

Took this picture last weekend. Love that Koko hides my double chin!!! I should always have him around for photo shoots.
