Random Thoughts

#1 It bums me out that blopspot doesn't recognize SCRAPBOOK as a verb.

#2 I played poker last night with Wade and two of his friends. I WON!!! Very exciting.

#3 I'm still wearing my pajamas and it's 2:30 in the afternoon

Past: This week has been so busy for me, even though I am done with work this school year! Monday I hung out with Chris (went to the South Coast Plaza… very nice), Tuesday and Wednesday I was at my sister’s house (the one who’s moving!!!).

Present: Finally today I get a chance to do some things around the house, get ready for poker night tonight, and start packing for my East Coast Trip!!!

Future: We are leaving next Wednesday for Washington DC, then on to Boston, then finally to New York. I am so so so excited, but weirdly enough, kind of bummed that I won’t be able to scrapbook at all! I have my journal though, so I can always write/sketch/doodle something down when (if) inspiration hits. I am totally bummed that I will be sans the Internet while I’m gone. But I guess I’ll have to make do just going to museums, eating out every day and spending much needed quality time with Wade!

Outside: I finally took down the Christmas lights. Wade tried to convince me that we should just keep them all year. Then that Sunday when we were relaxing on the Green Belt, we heard two kids on bikes making fun of the “house with their lights still up. how stupid!”. That was enough motivation for me!

Inside: I just need one more person in my life. I need someone who really gets this scrapbooking thing as an art, and not as simply a hobby. I need someone who gets excited about going to a scrapbook store, who appreciates the beauty of hambly rubons, who can relate to my worries about running out of adhesive when I go to a crop. I need someone who would rather spend time scrapbooking than anything else. I need someone who gets so into their pages that they forget to eat, they forget their aching backs, and they forget all their worries. I need someone who will stay up until 2 in the morning even if they have to go to work early the next day, just to do a mini-book. And I need this person to live close by so we can do all these things together. That’s all I need.

What I Should Be Doing: Cleaning the house, Packing for the East Coast Trip, Getting party supplies for Monday's luncheon, Doing laundry, Washing dishes...

What I Am Actually Doing: Scrapbooking, Organizing pictures on the computer, Fooling around on the Internet, Wasting Time...
