Leave Me A Comment!!!

What a day! So, we finally got rid of ALL dogs! I took Charlie and Koko back to my mom's house yesterday. Charlie was sad to leave our Clementine (they LOVE each other!). Charlie will miss me most of all (I'm her scarecrow) and she even gave me a kiss on the car ride to show me!

I've been really wanting to get some GOOD scrapbooking done, but just haven't had the momentum I had hoped for. Things aren't flowing as smoothly or as quickly as they usually do. This damn layout took me almost an hour and there is NOTHING to it! I was stoked to use my new Vegas stamps though.

I finally started on my Happiness Is _____ mini book by Kristina Contes. She sold these kits last month through her blog and then e mailed instructions. I read through them to get some good ideas and tips, but then forced myself NOT to print them out and take them to my desk. I knew if I did, every single page would be identical to hers... So here's the cover and the first two pages I've done so far.

I made some funky buttons with acrylic paint. The buttons go really well with the colors of the album, which was a complete accident! I made the buttons before I even got the albums! Weird.

Also, yesterday I had to take Bailey to the vet because he has Kennel Cough. None of our other dogs have it (thank goodness). Bails is the oldest of the three (he's 11). I hope this isn't the start of some kind of doggy decline... Fingers Crossed!

7 (more) Random Facts

I got tagged by Jennifer to post 7 Random things about myself. I already posted a similar entry (sans invite!), but what the hell, I think I can think of 7 more!!! Here we go:


1. I desperately want to collect something, but can't stand the idea of all the dust it would collect.

2. When I go on vacation I wear short skirts that I would NEVER wear when I am home.

3. When I find an album that I like, I listen to it over and over and over until I get so sick of it I can't bear to hear a single song. Then I don't touch it for about six months.

4. I love candy: hard candy, chewy candy, sweet candy, sour candy, lollipops, chocolate bars, taffy, anything. My favorite is this pineapple candy I bought at the ABC store last time we were in Hawai'i.

5. It has been almost 4 weeks since I dropped off my broken camera to Best Buy. They said that they would call me in 2 weeks and I still haven't heard from them. Some lady from the repair company they sent my camera to called me to tell me that the damage was NOT covered by my warranty and that they were going to return it to Best Buy unfixed. I am secretly hoping that Best Buy has lost it and they will have to give me a new one.

6. Once when I was about 6 or 7 years old, I pushed my father into our swimming pool. For some reason he was wearing a suit and cleaning the pool. He was standing really close to the edge of the pool and it was just too tempting not to.

7. I am going to convert half of our guest bedroom into a scrapbooking room this summer. Then, when Wade isn't looking, I am going to take over the other half of the room.

There you have it. Technically I am supposed to tag 7 more people to do the same on their blogs, but unfortunately I don't know 7 people that blog who haven't already done this!

We Are Outnumbered 7 to 6!!

HI EVERYONE!!!

We just got back from Vegas last night. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay and had an AWESOME view from our hotel room.

Wade agreed to take me out one day to go cruise the local scrapbook and stamp stores around Las Vegas. I SCORED big time!!! (Wade even found a couple of stamps HE liked!!! Maybe I can get him to start scrapbooking with me! HA HA)

I have to say, nothing feels better than your own bed! I went to my mom's house today to pick up her two dogs. My parents are going up north for a couple of days, so I have become designated doggy sitter in their absence! (Thanks, Frana!)

Wade's friends are staying the night tonight. They are visiting from out of state and brought their TWO dogs with them. So tonight we have FOUR 2-legged house guests and FOUR 4-legged house guests. THAT'S 6 people and 7 dogs in our 1000 square foot house!!!

Humor Me...

Here is a page I did tonight. It went fairly quickly (about an hour) but it took me FOREVER to decide which picture to do first... (I have about 2000 pics total from our East Coast Trip!)

I haven't scrapped before tonight for about a month and a half... Feels good to be back at it!

I am IN LOVE with this color combination. My last 7 or 8 pages have ALL had the same colors: bright blue, lemony lime, browns and a splash of orangy red... plus buttons, circles and cut out flowers. I hope my layouts aren't getting boring!!! I'm going to have to consider changing it up a little!!! Maybe squares instead of circles next time.

Okay, I'm thinking WAY to much about this right now.
