Some pictures - Old and New

Got a new scanner for my birthday - here's an old picture of our small little family back in the day:

This picture was taken about a year into our relationship - he's trying to push me off the cliff...
And here are some new pictures of Otis - he's helping me in my quest to fight perfection. Such a good dog!

Rainy Day Dawgs

It's raining today... first rain in a while. This means the puppies get to be inside for a change: Bailey on the floor, Otis on the couch (don't tell Wade!) and Clemmie in her big-girl chair. When Clem came in from the backyard this afternoon she was SHIVERING like a... what shivers... well, whatever, she was shivering... so I took one of my old college sweatshirts out and put it on her. Now she is warm AND supporting the Tritons!!!

Look how ADORABLE she is with her new hoodie!!! Too bad I can't show you what she looks like when she tries to walk - it's UBER cute!!!

Now go check THIS out - a hilarious blog post from my good friend KAT.

Sans Kimchi, Avec Crescendo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAELA!!!

That being said...

Here are some holiday felties I made for my ETSY shop. They should be up by tomorrow night.

Thanksgiving was weird this year. Wade and I usually go to my sister's house for dinner, but they moved up north this year so this year it was just me and Wade. We weren't going to make a turkey dinner (we got invited to the neighbor's house AND to Laela's house so we figured we were covered). I sent Wade out in the morning to the grocery store to get eggs and he came back AN HOUR LATER with a 12 pound turkey and all the fixins! Here's the before and after shot of Mr. Tryptophan:

This was the first year I have had Thanksgiving dinner WITHOUT kimchi... very sad.

We are deep into our LANDSCAPING PROJECT (This is SUCH a huge project, it deserves capital letters and a bigger font... it should be read with a crescendo and an echo if possible.) The cement is poured, the retaining wall is up and the front privacy wall is up... Now for all the little shit that needs to be taken care of...

Clementine believes herself to be a cat, laying on the wall with her tail hanging over.

So now that Christmas time is OFFICIALLY here, can anyone recommend any good Christmas movies? We have a pretty sizable collection of Christmas DVDs, but I'm always looking for new movies to add to it!

It's Been A Great Day (and it's not even over yet!)

I'm having such a good time today!

I have been on Elsie's Blog non-stop (she's having a blog party!)

I submitted my Kristina Contes Lift on ScrapJacked and I didn't win the contest, but I did get put on their "favorites" slide, which to me is SO SO SO exciting!!!

I've been taking TONS of pictures, but since I am too lazy to leave the house, they're all pictures of myself and Otis...

Creative Slump

I've been in a somewhat of a creative slump lately. I guess those couple of days I was scrapping 5 layouts a day has really drained my creative pool! Also, my studio has been delayed a bit (Wade doesn't want to move the piano out of the room until all the construction is completed in the house) and I have been very reluctant to straighten up my existing office. I really connected with Ali's post , especially the part about being in a "gathering phase".

But not all is lost - I finally organized my acrylic stamps in empty jewel cases:

And I've been taking my felt collection...:

and making some fun felt embellies. Here are just a few:

And here are some random photos from this past week:

Bailey taking a ride in the car on the way to the Basset Hound Rescue Breakfast:

Me in front of the enormous table I have set up in the living room covered in paperwork I have been consumed with... this is what happens when I procrastinate all semester and rely on the summer to do all my work!

And finally a picture of Wade and I making good use of the time we spent waiting at a red light:

What do YOU do when you are in a creative "slump"? Do you just wait it out, or what?

Have a good weekend!

=P

Today was my last day volunteering at the College until September. Hopefully that means I will have TONS of time to scrapbook. Really tired today (had to wake up way too early because of finals).

Got a couple of pages done yesterday and today.

Got an e mail from Maria Grace Abuzman. She's a "Garden Girl" at 2peas and wants to use one of my layouts for the User Inspiration section. I'm really excited because that means she is going to lift my layout! No one has ever done that before! Woo hoo!

Took this picture last weekend. Love that Koko hides my double chin!!! I should always have him around for photo shoots.

Leave Me A Comment!!!

What a day! So, we finally got rid of ALL dogs! I took Charlie and Koko back to my mom's house yesterday. Charlie was sad to leave our Clementine (they LOVE each other!). Charlie will miss me most of all (I'm her scarecrow) and she even gave me a kiss on the car ride to show me!

I've been really wanting to get some GOOD scrapbooking done, but just haven't had the momentum I had hoped for. Things aren't flowing as smoothly or as quickly as they usually do. This damn layout took me almost an hour and there is NOTHING to it! I was stoked to use my new Vegas stamps though.

I finally started on my Happiness Is _____ mini book by Kristina Contes. She sold these kits last month through her blog and then e mailed instructions. I read through them to get some good ideas and tips, but then forced myself NOT to print them out and take them to my desk. I knew if I did, every single page would be identical to hers... So here's the cover and the first two pages I've done so far.

I made some funky buttons with acrylic paint. The buttons go really well with the colors of the album, which was a complete accident! I made the buttons before I even got the albums! Weird.

Also, yesterday I had to take Bailey to the vet because he has Kennel Cough. None of our other dogs have it (thank goodness). Bails is the oldest of the three (he's 11). I hope this isn't the start of some kind of doggy decline... Fingers Crossed!

Wish Me Luck!

***Going to Vegas tomorrow!

*If you don't hear from me after next weekend,
that means I won it ***BIG*** and moved to Paris.

Au Revoir!

Otis on a Saturday

Wade mowed the lawn today. We had to keep Otis in the house because he can't be outside with the mower... he barks like crazy and runs in front of it... Stupid Dog.
